Grandpapa Monk got to meet me for the very first time and I was looking so cute in my hooded sweater that I got from Kinsey(my friend). Grandpapa was so funny and sang to me all of the time. He even got me to laugh for about ten minues by imitating me kicking my legs and slapping my hands on my tummy.

Aunt Christy Mindell came to visit me in August and I got my first Eskimo kiss. I sure do love my auntie!

Riley could have well been the differentiating factor in the TX - OU Red River Shootout yesterday! Texas won 28-10. We happen to think it was due to some pretty good cheerleading going on back here in Austin - on Galleria Cove to be more specific! Riley did her best and mommy and daddy were very proud! This is the first time she wore her UT Cheerleading outfit we got from our neighbor Gary Bucek - a devoted UT alumni and great neighbor! Hope you enjoy the picture - we got plenty of them!

Yes that is a real black eye! Riley decided to head butt me in the face and I didn't think much about it until the next morning when I looked in the mirror and saw that! Maybe she will be a great soccer player someday and bounce balls off her head! This is mommy's first black eye and hopefully her last! I only wonder what people think about Rob when he is with me! :)

Well, here is a picture of Riley at 4 months of age. I just used my new telephoto lens i got yesterday to take this picture from across the room - i think it worked quite well! As you can see, she has lost most of her hair. She had her 4 month wellcheck on Monday -- she is 24 1/2 inches long and weighed in at 14lbs. 6 oz. To put things in perspective, Riley is in the 70th percentile weightwise, 45th percentile lengthwise and 15th percentile for the size of her head. At her 2 month wellcheck, she was in the 20th percentile headwise -- lets hope this head size stops trending downward!! :-) Anyhow, this is why i often called her "Beetlejuice".

The doc said she looks fabulous except for her acid reflux and allergy issues. She has been getting constipated a lot lately -- oh the joys of parenthood! While she was sleeping longer at night and even slept through the night a couple weeks ago, the last week and a half have been rough for Krista, as Riley is waking up crying many times throughout the night - we are not sure why, but last night, she did much better -- we prayed with Riley right before bedtime asking God for a better night -- He answered our prayer!

Riley is getting psyched up right now about seeing Grandpapa Monk for the first time - he is visiting with us from Oct. 16th through the 23rd. Then, Riley will meet Aunt Vicki and hangout w/her from Oct. 28th till Nov. 1st!
